Lower Body Russian Twist
Lower Body Russian twists are a beginners core exercise that can help with increasing mobility of the lower back whilst strengthening the obliques. If your suffering from lower back pain you may need to reduce the range of motion of the exercse as to limit the stress placed on the lower back. Lower body russian twists will strengthen the obliques and as they are a unilateral exercise they're also beneficial in correcting imbalances on each side of the torso
Combine with Pelvic Tilts, Kneeling leg raises and Kneeling Bridges for a beginners core program
Exercise Technique Tips - Lower body Russian Twists
- Lightly draw in your navel
- Control the downward phase and return to starting position by contracting your obliques on the side of your stomach
