Kneeling Arm Raises
Kneeling Arm Raises are a beginners core exercise. The obiques and rectus abdominals contract during the movement to help maintain a neutral spine. The movement is for those beginning a core program, women post pregnancy or for those with lower back pain. Incorporate this exercise with kneeling bridges and kneeling leg extensions for a safe beginners core strengthening circuit
Functional Benefit
The exercise improves rotational stability around the midsection. The bracing position also helps to develop the transverse abdominals which are involved in maintaining stability and the spine
