Theraband Standing Twist

Theraband Standing Twist predominantly strengthens the oblique muscles. The external hip rotators and abdominals are also active. The Standing Twist is an intermediate exercise that can be performed in individuals provided base strength and stability has been developed using bridging based movements

Functional Benefit

Most sports involve lateral movement and rotation of the torso, so developing the obliques and the muscles of the hip joint is helpful for sports performance. Theraband exercises also develop balance and teach the individual how to use the whole body to produce a strong controlled movement

Bend knees slightly

Keep arms straight and out stretches at chest height

Rotate entire torso moving chest and arms  simultaneously
