Push ups
Push ups develop strength in the pectoralis major, minor and triceps. The Serratus Anterior is also active to stabilized and protract the scapular during the movement. A program containing push ups should be performed with opposing movements like bent over rows or reverse flys to balance the muscle development in the deltoids and around the scapula.
Push ups also activate the core muscles due to the prone body position.
Exercise Technique Tips - Push ups
