Dumbbell Flys strengthen the chest, bicpes and subscapularis muscle. Strengthening the subscapularis muscle can increase shoulder stability as the the subscapularis is one of the four rotator cuff muscles of the shoulder. Flys should be combined with an opposing movement like reverse flys or bent over rows to keep muscle balance around the shoulder joint
