Spiderman Push ups

Spiderman Push ups strengthen the chest and triceps whilst challenging the oblique muscles. Flexibility through the hips is also required. due to the twisting motion the arm opposing the raised leg performs a larger portion of the movement. This increases the required strength of this movement as opposed to a standard push up.

Functional Benefit

Spiderman pushups increase hip flexibility whilst developing strength and core function. These factors combine to make an effective whole body exercise.  

Exercise Technique Tips - Spiderman Push ups

Raise leg as close to forearm as possible

Twist torso slightly towards the side of the raised leg

lower chest within 1-2 inches of the ground
