Chilli Chicken Hamburgers
Ingredients - Serves 3
- 500 grams of lean chicken mince
- 1 small chilli
- 2 Tablespoon Barbeque sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 Tablespoon of fresh parsley
- 1 Tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of mixed italian herbs
- 2 Red onions
- Lettuce
- 3 slices (90 grams) of chedder or swiss cheese
- 2 tomatoes
- 3 wholemeal or multigrain bread rolls
Methods
- Finely dice chilli, parsley and garlic and add to mince and barbeque sauce. Mix thoroughly. Seperate into 3 equal batches and roll mixture out into hamburger patties
- Dice onions and fry lightly in a pan with 1 Tablespoon of oil. Set aside
- Add patties to frying pan with 1 Tablespoon of oil. Cook on low to medium heat
- Add patties to hamburger buns along with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese
- Serve with tomato sauce
